Database Automatic User Provisioning

Teleport can automatically create users in your database, removing the need for creating individual user accounts in advance or using the same set of shared database accounts for all users.

Automatically created users will either receive a predefined set of roles, or can be granted permissions to specific database objects based on their required level of access using Database Access Controls feature.

Currently, automatic user provisioning is supported for the following databases:

• PostgreSQL databases (self-hosted and AWS RDS)
• MySQL databases (self-hosted and AWS RDS)
• MariaDB databases (self-hosted and AWS RDS)
• AWS Redshift databases
• MongoDB databases (self-hosted)
