Boardrooms and CEOs in 2026 are demanding measurable ROI from AI investments, forcing CIOs to shift away from isolated experiments toward operational integration. In an analysis for CIO.de, Isaac Sacolick highlights that adopting agentic AI is fundamentally an organizational, governance, and leadership challenge rather than a purely technical one.

AI agents break classic Zero Trust. Teleport's Chris Webber explains why trusted runtimes, real-time monitoring, and continuous enforcement are required.

Zero trust AI agents demand a different kind of security

AI agents move at machine speed but behave non-deterministically like humans—creating a fourth identity category traditional IAM can't handle. New research from Teleport shows overprivileged AI agents drive 4.5x as many security incidents, yet 67% of teams still rely on static credentials. Here is why legacy IAM fails and how to fix agent identity.

When Every Agent Looks Like an Insider

Over-privileged AI agents lead to a 76% incident rate compared to 17% for least-privilege setups, according to a recent Teleport study of 205 security leaders. Securing AI agents requires more than an AI gateway—it demands shrinking authority before inspecting behavior using a 6-stage dependency-gated security chain.

Teleport introduces Beams for AI agent security

Organizations have spent years accumulating fragmented identity systems: too many roles, too many credentials, too many disconnected tools. For a workforce of humans, that fragmentation was manageable. Humans log in, log out, and make decisions slowly enough that gaps in control rarely turned into immediate incidents. AI agents operate differently.

The AI safety conversation is focused on the wrong layer

Digital crime is now so costly that, were it an economy, it would rank behind only the GDPs of the U.S. and China. Increasingly, we depend on data integrity for our very lives, and some of the biggest risks are to hospitals and essential services like power or 911.
