New Year, New Releases

Hello Teleport Community!

For the first newsletter of 2024, I’m going to keep it short but focus on some key things to be on the lookout for in the next few months. Firstly, we’ll continue on our 3-month release cycle, with Teleport 15 being released on Jan. 29th.

Teleport Connect Virtual - Feb. 8th

We’ve finally put the final touches to the presentations from our 2nd user conference Teleport Connect 2023. We’ll be simulive broadcasting on Thursday, Feb. 8th. I’ll be hosting a live Lunch Panel with two Teleport speakers, Eddie Wassef from Vonage and Hunter Madison from IBM.

Go. Go. Crypto.

Teleport is an open-source mostly Go project (69% according to GitHub). By building on Go, we’ve had the benefit of having a solid foundation for the standard libraries, such as crypto/ssh. Once we saw that a main maintainer decided to become a full-time maintainer, we jumped on the opportunity to sponsor Filippo and invest in Go libraries. Last week, I sat down with Filippo Valsorda to discuss all things Crypto, Go and Open-Source. Listen here to the 1-hr. long episode of Access Control podcast.

New Year, New G2 Reviews

Last year we started reaching out to people for reviews of Teleport. We’ve been astounded by the reviews, with 67% 5 Star Reviews, and even when we miss a star, we aim to review the comments to make Teleport better for you. We ended 2023 being a leader in Privileged Access Management, User Provisioning & Governance Tools and Single Sign-On. Now that it's a new year, we’re looking for new reviews. If you have a spare 10 minutes, we would really appreciate a review.

2024

We have a lot of fun things planned in 2024. I’ll dive into our 2024 plans in next month's newsletter. I’m now sending a monthly Product Newsletter as well, where I cover in-depth our releases and a specific product feature. Subscribe here if you haven’t had a chance yet.
